The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is an independent not-for-profit organization helping to lead the improvement of healthcare throughout the world. Founded in 1991 and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, IHI provides networking opportunities and tools and resources to help IHI participants improve their quality and patient safety programs.
Emory Decatur Hospital participated in the 100,000 Lives Saved campaign and is an active participant in the ongoing 5 Million Lives Saved From Harm Campaign.
