Yong S. Kim, M.D.

Dr. Yong S. Kim has served the Gwinnett community since 1999. He graduated from the Emory School of Medicine in 1997 and finished his residency program with the Rome/Floyd County Family Medicine in 1999. He also received certification in acupuncture from UCLA in 2002. Dr. Kim is a participating member of the American Academy of Family Medicine (AAFP), the Georgia Academy of Family Practice (GAFP), American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA), and the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).

Furthermore, Dr. Kim's family moved from Seoul, South Korea to the United States in 1980. He spent his formative years in New York City and Bainbridge, Georgia, before moving to Atlanta. There he pursued a double B.A. major in music and pre-med at Emory University. As a side note, he speaks English, Korean, and Spanish.


In 2001, he married, Melissa Post Kim, a native of Atlanta (Tucker). Twins, Derek & Madeline were born as healthy preemies in May 2004. Then, another healthy daughter, Julianne, came in September 2005! Adjusting to marriage and parenthood has only enhanced Dr. Kim's family medical skills.

Dr. Kim started his solo practice in March 2004 in Lilburn, Georgia. Now he is settled in his own building in Snellville with hopes to continue to serve for many, many, many years to come! In 2010, he was elected to serve as a member on the Eastside Board of Trustees. He also joined the Board in 2012 for the Gwinnett Community Clinic.

Lee Grose, M.D.

Dr. Lee L. Grose has been practicing medicine in Georgia since 1999 and is the newest physician to join Snellville Family Medicine. He graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine and Master’s degree honor in Medical Science from the American University of the Caribbean. He completed his internship and Family Practice residency program at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Dr. Grose is board-certified in Family Medicine and a participating member of the American Academy of Family Medicine (AAFP), the Georgia Academy of Family Practice (GAFP), Medical Association of Georgia (MAG), National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), National Association of Community Health (NACHC), Georgia Association of Primary Health Care (GAPHC) and Muscogee County Medical Society (MCMS).
Dr. Grose's recent professional experience includes working for Valley Healthcare, a community healthcare system in the Columbus, GA area. There he saw patients at two different clinic sites. He also served as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the company. His medical experience spans full primary care from infant to geriatric. English is his first language, but can also speak intermediate Spanish.

Dr. Grose currently resides in Snellville with his wife, Sanjna Grose, their two sons, Nathan and Dillon, and daughter, Rhea. When Dr. Grose is not practicing medicine, he likes to spend his time outdoors - whether golf, tennis, fishing or gardening. He also enjoys sharing his leadership with others as Cub Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and coaching soccer & golf.

Christina Goicochea, PA-C

Christina B. Goicochea was born in Miami, FL, but has lived in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. She received her bachelor's degree at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. She then completed a two-year Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic certification program at Darton College in Albany, Georgia. Ms. Goicochea earned her Master of Medical Science degree to become a Physician Assistant, from Emory University here in Atlanta, Georgia.

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American and Georgia Academy of Physician Assistants.


She is married to Luciano, a native of Colombia South America and they have two young daughters. In her spare time, he enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel.
