Gary Botstein, M.D.

Dr. Gary Botstein is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with Phi Beta Kappa in chemistry from Brooklyn College, his medical degree from Harvard University School of Medicine, completed his medical residency and internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was a recipient of the Jonas Salk Scholarship for Medical School.

He is a past president of the DeKalb Medical Society, a Founding Member of the American College of rheumatology, recipient of The McCurdy Citizenship Award, Community Service Award for the Medical Association of Georgia and the Community Service Award for Channel 11 Alive. He is a founder of and current Chairman of the Board of the Physician’s Care Clinic, an indigent clinic in DeKalb County, since 1992.

When not providing care to his patients, Dr. Botstein enjoys his family, golf, woodworking and guitar.

Gary Bostein

Sanford Hartman, M.D.

Dr. Sanford Hartman received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Northwestern University, his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and obtained his MBA from Mercer University. He completed his internal medicine internship and a year of residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital of Cleveland and his final year of internal medicine residency and his Rheumatology/Immunology Fellowship at Emory University.

Dr. Hartman served in the US Air Force at USAF Medical Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. His is a member of the Georgia Society of Rheumatology and a Fellow member of the American College of Rheumatology. Prior to joining Rheumatology Associates of DeKalb, he managed his own practice - Sanford S. Hartman, M.D., P.C. His primary hospital affiliation is DeKalb Medical, where he served numerous positions, including Secretary, Vice-Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff of both the department of internal medicine and the full hospital staff.
Sanford Hartman

Ferhana Najam, M.D.

Dr. Najam received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville and fellowship training in Rheumatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In the few years to follow, she continued short courses in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Dubai, as well as the American College of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining DeKalb Medical, Dr. Najam was the Attending Rheumatologist at United Regional Physicians Group, which is affiliated to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX.

Dr. Najam is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in this profession for over 16 years. Her clinical interest is in general Rheumatology, and she can deal with complex rheumatologic diseases. She is also trained to do Ultrasound in management of her patients. Dr. Najam is also a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and a present member of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) and Wichita County Medical Alliance.

In her spare time, Dr. Najam enjoys to read, travel, paint, cook, and spend time with her family, which consists of her husband and two sons.
