Dr. Thomas Cain is Board Certified Podiatric Physician and Surgeon of the foot and ankle. Dr. Cain has proudly cared for the professional medical needs of the community for more than 26 years. He is a specialist in surgery, reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, and the treatment of all diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle. He is dedicated to helping his patients achieve and maintain excellent foot and ankle health throughout their lifetime from pediatric, diabetic, athletic and geriatric care.
Dr. Cain graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978 and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1982. He was contributing editor and author for “The Comprehensive Textbook of Foot Surgery”, “Physeal Fracture of Distal Phalanx of the Hallux”, he has also had multiple papers published in The Podiatry Institute Seminar Updates and he continues to lecture at The Podiatry Institute Annual Surgical Seminars, The Podiatry Institute Continuing Education Program and multiple surgical seminars nationwide.
Dr. Cain is a native of Springfield, Illinois. He came to Georgia with his parents in 1965. He is blessed with three wonderful children and lovely wife, Ann. His hobbies include spending time with family and golfing. Dr. Cain is professionally educated to helping his patients achieve and maintain excellent foot and ankle health throughout their lifetime. His combination of an enthusiastic friendly personality, surgical expertise, compassion and respect for his patients, and extensive clinical background has made Dr. Cain a trusted physician, surgeon, colleague, and citizen of the community.

Dr. David Alder is a 1994 graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. He is board certified in foot surgery by ABPS, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. After completing his surgical residency in Tucker, Georgia, he then continued expanding his career as Residency Director of podiatric medicine and surgery at DeKalb Medical, became a faculty member of The Podiatry Institute, became an AO faculty member and is an adjunct faculty member of Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida.
Dr. Emily Hermes is a native of Maquoketa, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she participated in the choir. She is a graduate of the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed her surgical residency training at DeKalb Medical in Decatur, Georgia. Dr. Hermes is a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute and has lectured at multiple of their conferences all over the country and publishes in their yearly Update Textbooks. She is Board Qualified in Foot & Ankle Surgery. In her free time, she enjoys running, golfing, singing, playing the piano and spending time outdoors with her husband, Michael.
