Heart Risk Assessment
Complete Heart Screening for $149
Coronary artery disease is caused by the build up of plaque on the inside of the coronary arteries, the blood vessels that supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. Plaque is made up of excess cholesterol, calcium and other substances that float in blood and, over time, build up on the inside walls of the coronary arteries and other arteries. Make sure you receive early detection with a heart screening at DeKalb Medical. This comprehensive package includes a CT scan or X-ray to check for build up of plaque inside the heart and arteries, a Framingham Risk Score which will determine your potential risk for cardiovascular disease and a lipid profile to measure your cholesterol levels.
The total fee of $149 must be paid at time of service. Credit cards, personal checks and cash accepted. The $149 fee covers the cost and service for the screening only. Physician referral is not needed to make an appointment. Most insurance plans will not cover the cost of the screening.
The screening is offered at both the North Decatur and Hillandale locations. Register below or call 404.501.WELL today to schedule your screening.
