DeKalb Medical at Hillandale is a state-of-the art hospital set on a beautiful 40-acre campus in Lithonia, Georgia.

With 100 private patient rooms and special features which create a warm, homelike atmosphere, DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale offers the latest in technology, design and comfort.

This innovative facility is the only planned digital hospital in Georgia. One of the advantages of an all-digital hospital is that patient information is available instantly, anytime, anywhere – eliminating paperwork and duplicate tests and allowing doctors to make faster, more informed decisions. The end result is enhanced patient safety, more efficient patient care and better, faster communication among caregivers

The six-story, 191,000-square-foot hospital features: medical/surgical services; maternity services including a labor evaluation unit, a high-risk pregnancy unit for expectant mothers needing hospitalization, labor/delivery/recovery rooms, a Special Care Nursery and a mother/baby unit; inpatient and outpatient surgical suites; a 24-hour emergency department; and an adult intensive care unit. A gift shop, a cafeteria, a chapel and a community room also are located in the hospital.

Additional facilities on the campus include two medical office buildings with primary care and specialist physicians’ offices, an Outpatient Surgery Center and lab, rehabilitation and wellness services.

With our progressive facilities, ample parking and convenient location, DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale is the ideal health care solution for residents of south DeKalb and the surrounding areas.

State-of-the-art Health Care

DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale is the first planned all-digital hospital in Georgia. That means we make full use of the latest computerized technology to improve your care and protect your safety as a patient. How? By using electronic medical records, physicians can access patient information better and faster, resulting in less duplication of tests and paperwork.

Picture Archival and Communication System allows physicians to view diagnostic images and reports by computer from any facility within the DeKalb Medical Center hospital system or even from the office or home. Computerized physician order entry (CPOE) decreases medical errors due to illegible handwriting and generates alerts when orders are in conflict with a patient’s medical history, improves test turnaround times and eliminates duplicate tests.

Physician Web portal allows physicians and staff to securely and remotely access clinical and demographical data via the Internet. Computerized clinical documentation improves physician and nursing access to patient care information and timeliness of data. Online appointment scheduling saves patients time and paperwork.

From the diagnostic technology and cardiac monitoring equipment to the heating and air conditioning system everything is digitized. And, instant, reliable, life-saving information translates into a seamless hospital stay or doctor visit and, more importantly, better quality of care.
