Tina-Ann Kerr Thompson, M.D. spent most of her life in Hartford, CT. She received her bachelor of science degree at Yale University. After graduating from Boston University School of Medicine, she completed the Emory Family Medicine Residency Program. She is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP). She is a member of the Georgia and American Association of Family Practice. She serves as a preceptor for medical students from Emory University and Mercer School of Medicine.
Dr. Thompson is married to Joseph Thompson, M.D., and together they have completed their family with a young son and daughter.
Dr. Thomas B. Parrott was born in Miami, Florida, and graduated from both undergraduate and medical school at the University of Miami. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he completed a family medicine residency in Johnson City, New York, and remains board certified in Family Medicine. He has recently moved to Sandy Springs to be close to family after practicing for 33 years in White River Junction, Vermont.
Dr. Parrott is an active member of the Baha’i Faith and enjoys spending time with grandchildren.
Taneisha N. Benjamin, M.D. grew up in the North Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. She attended Emory University for undergraduate and earned a degree in Chemistry. She then went on to complete her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed training in Internal Medicine at Duke University. She also did an additional two years of fellowship training in Nephrology at Duke. She has an interest in the management of hypertension and chronic kidney disease.
Dr. Benjamin enjoys spending time with her family, sports and traveling.
Markebba Skylark, PA-C is a native of Columbus, Georgia, but has lived in the Atlanta area for most of her life. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University. She later completed her Physician Assistant training at South University in Savannah, Georgia.
She is a member of the American and Georgia Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
Francine is a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo and lived in the United States since 1997. She attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI where she completed her undergraduate studies with a bachelor of arts in pre-medicine and a minor in chemistry. She went on to complete her Masters in Medical Science and Physicians Assistant Training at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA in 2004. She is passionate about preventive medicine and she has been practicing in primary care medicine since 2005.
She serves her community by speaking at health conferences to educate people on health maintenance and disease prevention. She is also a leader at her church where she serves by visiting and praying for the sick.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her husband and two children.
Michael Baron, D.O. is board-certified in Family Practice. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and his Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Southeastern College of Osteopathic medicine in Miami, FL. He completed three years of family practice residency at Northlake Regional Medical Center in Tucker where he was Chief Resident.
A native of Tampa, FL, Dr. Baron holds memberships with multiple medical associations, including but not limited to, The American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association. He also is part of the Medical Executive Board at DeKalb Medical as well as the Board of Directors of DeKalb Physicians Care Clinic where he has volunteered his time for almost 20 years.
Dr. Baron lives in Atlanta with his wife Mary. He is strongly committed to quality compassionate care. He has ranked amongst the top 1-2% of family physicians in metro Atlanta as rated by Quality Care Providers since 1998. He has been designated a “Performance Physician” as well as a “Premium Physician” by United HealthCare since 2004. Dr Baron is also recognized as an “Aexcel Physician” by Aetna Health Insurance. Past awards include “Teacher of the Year” by the Osteopathic Institute of the South and NCQA commendation for Qualtiy Diabetes Care.
