Named an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor for 8 consecutive years, Dr. Robert Karsch is a joint specialist in Atlanta with over 20 years of orthopedic surgery experience.
Dr. Karsch received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Emory University. He is a recipient of the Richard Selznick Award for Outstanding Research in Orthopedics.
Dr. Karsch serves as an instructor for medical residents and medical and PA-C students for Dekalb Medical, Emory University and Mercer University. He served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Dekalb Medical from 2011 - 2016. In addition, he has provided orthopedic consultation services to MARTA, Keebler, Waffle House, Marshalls, Winn-Dixie, and other corporations. He has been the team physician for Spellman and Morehouse College, Georgia Perimeter College and Emory University, along with many other high schools and colleges. He was also the team physician for 1996 Summer Olympic Boxing team and for Georgia Amateur Boxing/Team Holyfield.
