Peace Baptist Church members donate gloves for cancer patients

December 20, 2018

Peace Baptist Church members donate gloves for cancer patients.

Members of Peace Baptist Church donated mittens and gloves to comfort and warm cancer patients at Emory Decatur Hospital and Winship Cancer Center. Many cancer patients receiving infusions feel cold especially in their extremities. The items donated by Peace Baptist will be shared with patients who are then invited to keep them.

Members of Peace Baptist founded the "Shades of Pink" ministry to honor their First Lady Tabitha Barnette, who is a breast cancer survivor. Their mission is to provide education about breast cancer and support cancer patients. "Shades of Pink" leader Crystal Cash and Assimilation Director Sally Taylor-Terry, along with Tabitha Barnette brought the donation to both facilities on December 17.
