Annual Nursing Scholarship Accepting Applications at DeKalb Medical
September 01, 2016
For Immediate Release
The DeKalb Medical Foundation opens the 2016 Dr. W. Mark Coppage Nursing Scholarship submission process. Students actively enrolled in a nursing program for initial licensure are encouraged to apply. Applicants must submit a letter addressing three key points: why they are interested in becoming a nurse, how their commitment to volunteering has made a difference in their community and who inspired their life and why.
Dr. W. Mark Coppage gave without boundary of his time, talent, resources and love. Each person who touched his life felt enriched and inspired. The years have not dimmed his remarkable impact or erased the void created by his untimely death in 1989.
“This scholarship gives us an opportunity to honor the legacy of Dr. Coppage as a member of the DeKalb community,” says Ty Tippett, Vice President of the Foundation.
Applications must be received by Wednesday, September 21, 2016. To access the Coppage Scholarship application, click here.
