DeKalb Medical Long Term Acute Care Hospital announces the appointment of new leadership

DeKalb Medical’s Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC) announced the appointment of Dee Keeton, RN, MN, CPHRM as the new Director of Clinical Services and Quality and Lorry Lewis MS, MBS, FACHE, as the Executive Director and Administrator. Both appointments are effective immediately.
“Dee and Lorry have both led amazing accomplishments here at DeKalb Medical,” stated DeKalb Medical President and CEO John Shelton. “As we continue to grow and strengthen our overall services to the community, it was imperative to have Dee and Lorry lead the way at the LTAC facility.”
Most recently, Dee Keeton served as Director of Risk, Compliance, Quality and Patient Safety for AmSol in High Point, North Carolina. Prior, she was Director of Patient Relations at DeKalb Medical (2000 to 2013) and previously served as Director of Nursing for Decatur Hospital. A native of Buffalo, New York, Dee has lived in Atlanta since 1976. She holds a nursing degree from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, BSN from Georgia State University and an MN from Emory University.
“I want to continue providing quality care and making a difference in the lives of patients and families,” stated Keeton. “DeKalb Medical is a special place to be and I want to continue to help make it that way.”
Lewis previously served as Rehab Manager and Director of Clinical Services for LTAC, and as Director of Operations for Post-Acute.
“I’m eager to promote LTAC’s growth and continue providing excellent care for patients,” states Lewis.
A native of Conrad, Iowa, Lorry has lived in metro Atlanta since 1997. She earned her BS in Communication Disorders from Iowa State University, MS in Speech Language Pathology from Western Illinois University, and MBA from Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining DeKalb Medical in 1999, Lorry worked as Rehab manager at Kindred, Riverview Regional Medical in Gadsden, Alabama, and Exceptional Rehab Services in LaGrange, Georgia.
