DeKalb Medical to hold heartburn education seminar
February 16, 2015
In conjunction with National Heart Health Awareness Month, DeKalb Medical will hold an education seminar on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the DeKalb Medical Theatre to discuss heartburn causes, effects and solutions. The seminar is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
“The causes and effects of heartburn are often not given the amount of attention it deserves,” stated Dr. Jeff Kamean, a featured panelist of Thursday’s seminar. “We want to ensure that we are educating the community to prevent more cases while also helping those that may be in need.”
In addition to Dr. Kamean, the panel will include Dr. Scott Steinberg, dietician Ashley Stewart and Nurse Navigator Pam Briggs.
The event is open to the public, but registration is required by calling 404.501.9355 or visiting www.dekalbmedical.org.
