The DeKalb Medical Foundation Announces Healthcare Scholarships Available for Employees and Teens

The DeKalb Medical Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Audrey & Jack Morgan and Dr. Gulshan S. Harjee Scholarship Programs. Application deadline for each scholarship is April 30, 2015.
The Audrey & Jack Morgan Scholarship is an award created by long-time community leaders and philanthropists Audrey and Jack Morgan. The scholarship is awarded to DeKalb Medical employees pursuing educational opportunities in healthcare. A current DeKalb Medical Foundation board member and a former DeKalb Medical Board of Directors member, Audrey Morgan and her beloved late husband Jack both dedicated their lives to improving their community. The Morgans have always believed a life of great purpose is possible for anybody who has work ethic, determination and energy.
High school seniors interested in pursuing careers as Physicians, patient care techs, registered nurses, healthcare social workers or pharmacy techs and all other healthcare affiliated professions are encouraged to apply for the the Dr. Gulshan S. Harjee Scholarship.
The annual scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited educational program in the healthcare field. This scholarship fund was established by Dr. Gulshan S. Harjee, a native of Tanzania, who overcame many financial and cultural barriers and extreme hardships to become a physician.
