DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Continues Its Rapid Growth With Addition of Lenora Church Family Medicine

The DeKalb Medical Physicians Group is proud to announce the addition of Lenora Church Family Medicine to its growing list of primary care physician offices. The practice is located in the heart of Snellville on Lenora Church Road and offers primary care services for patients ages 17 and older. Lead by Dr. Marie Lightbourne and Dr. John Ahrendt, Lenora Church Family Medicine brings over 50 years of experience to the group.
Dr. Marie Lightbourne is a graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala. She received her medical degree from Saint Matthew School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. She has been practicing family medicine in Snellville since 2009. She joined the practice in 2011 and has had a direct impact in growing the office into a full service internal and family medicine practice. Dr. Lightbourne is board certified and resides in the local area along with her husband, two children and dogs.
Dr. John Ahrendt received his undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. He joined the practice in 1973 along with two other providers and has remained a stabilizing influence in the medical community since. Dr. Ahrendt is board certified and he and his family have lived in the community for over 40 years.
