Atlanta, GA -- New York Blood Center (NYBC) announced today that it has received its 1000th donated Clinical Cord Blood unit from DeKalb Medical Women and Infants Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  NYBC began to accept donated cord blood at DeKalb Medical in May of 2011, and received the first FDA license for a Cord Blood Stem Cell Product, HEMACORD® (HPC, Cord Blood) in November of 2011.
