March 29, 2011
Jim Forstner has been named Vice President of Strategic Services at DeKalb Medical where he will help expand system services and ready us for future healthcare reforms. Forstner’s new role signals a fresh emphasis on growing our service lines and crafting a clinically integrated approach to care delivery in our community.
Since 2004, Forstner has been a key player in the development of new programs and services including the Wound Center, Sleep Disorders center and the DeKalb Surgical Alliance. “Jim has collaborated closely in many of the most important initiatives our organization has undertaken in recent years,” says Eric Norwood, FACHE, Presidenta and CEO, DeKalb Medical. Forstner most recently served as Executive Director for Contracting, Physician and Ambulatory Ventures. As Vice President of Strategic Services, he will be directly responsible for the acute rehab service at our long term acute care facility in downtown Decatur as well as the expansion of our cardiology services at North Decatur.
