DeKalb Medical Urges Community to Explore Health Insurance Options under the Affordable Care Act
To help people understand their health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act as it stands currently, DeKalb Medical is partnering with Insure Georgia for a series of free events every Tuesday from November 2, 2017 through December 15, 2017.
The sessions will take place at DeKalb Medical at Hillandale, Community Room, 2801 DeKalb Medical Parkway, Lithonia and DeKalb Medical at North Decatur, 2701 N. Decatur Road, Decatur in the Keeton Auditorium on the ground floor of the main hospital. Parking is free at Hillandale and will be validated at N. Decatur.
A counselor from Insure Georgia will be at each session from 5- 9 p.m. to assist with enrollment.
All are welcome to attend and learn more. Those seeking to enroll in coverage should bring the following: documentation of income such as a w-2 or a paycheck stub, social security benefit letter or information on other income you receive (even if you don’t pay taxes on it); employer’s phone number and address. Those who are not a citizen, should provide citizenship certificate, immigration documents, refugee travel documents, green card or other eligible status documents.
