Atlanta ER doctor Sofia Khan, M.D., is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and the Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Emory University. She has been a practicing Atlanta emergency physician since 2002 and is Board-certified in emergency medicine.

Dr. Khan joined DeKalb Emergency Physicians in 2005. She served as Hillandale’s Quality and Assistant Medical Director of the Emergency Department before becoming Medical Director & Chief of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Khan is a board member of the DeKalb Medical Society and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Medical Association of Georgia. A leading emergency physician, she has presented lectures on many topics, including Ocular Emergency, The Ectopic Patient, and Trauma in the Elderly.
