EidexMarshall Eidex, M.D.

Marshall Eidex, M.D. received his undergraduate degree at the University of Chattanooga, TN and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Eidex interned at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA and performed his residency at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, in internal medicine. He then returned to Piedmont Hospital for a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism. Dr. Marshall Eidex treats patients 14 years of age and older, and is available for appointments Monday through Friday.

Dr. Eidex practices at DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Winn Way Internal Medicine in Decatur. He is a member of the DeKalb Medical Society, the DeKalb Physician Hospital Organization, and the medical staff of DeKalb Medical.

He lives in Atlanta with his wife. He is the father of five and grandfather to fourteen wonderful grandchildren, all residing in the Atlanta area. He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, painting and woodcarving.

GrossmanIlene April Grossman, M.D.

Dr. Ilene April Grossman is a board certified Internal Medicine physician at Dekalb Medical Physicians Winn Way Internal Medicine group. Prior to her joining the practice, Dr. Grossman served as the Director of Women’s Health at the Atlanta VA Medical Center for seven years. Throughout her tenure at the Atlanta VA, Dr. Grossman held an Assistant Professor position at Emory University School of Medicine where she was involved in teaching medical students and supervising residents. In addition to managing patient care, she was a leader in physician training initiatives in Women’s Health and played an integral role in improving the delivery of primary care to female veterans.

Dr. Grossman, who is originally from Brooklyn, New York, completed her medical school training at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. After medical school, she moved to Atlanta and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Emory University. She then proceeded to complete an additional fellowship in Women’s Health, gaining expertise in providing comprehensive healthcare to female patients.

While specializing in Women’s Health, Dr. Grossman enjoys working with diverse patient populations and sees both male and female patients 17 years of age and older. In her practice, she is dedicated to providing highly personalized patient care with a focus on wellness and prevention.

Dr. Grossman is married with two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, playing tennis, attending cross-fit, and keeping abreast of the newest medical information.

WhiteheadEddie L. Whitehead, M.D.

Dr. Eddie Whitehead is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who recently joined DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Winn Way Internal Medicine. Prior to joining, he served as the CEO and Medical Director for Georgia Internal Medicine Care Associates, P.C. for 20 years.

Dr. Whitehead received his undergraduate degree from Valdosta State College (now Valdosta State University) in 1976 and went on to receive his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout his medical career, including receiving the Resident of the Year award at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Whitehead served on the Board of Directors for the DeKalb Physician Hospital Organization from 2006-2008 and was Chief of Medicine for DeKalb Medical at Hillandale from 2007-2009. Dr. Whitehead is also a member of the National Medical Association and American Medical Association.

Dr. Whitehead treats patients 17 years of age and older and offers extended office hours on Mondays. He is married with three grown children and enjoys cooking, fishing and woodworking.

Shikha Chacko, M.D., is a board certified internist, who recently joined DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Winn Way Internal Medicine. Dr. Chacko specializes in treating patients who are struggling with obesity and diabetes as well as educating specific patients on the importance of HIV prevention and care. She takes pride in providing personalized care for each individual and is an advocate for promoting wellness and preventive care to her patients. Additionally, Dr. Chacko is bilingual and is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Chacko, a native of Texas, attended The University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate studies where she also received honors. Following her bachelor degree in 2004, Dr. Chacko completed her doctorate in medicine at The University of Texas at Houston Medical School in 2009. She then moved to Atlanta attending Emory University where she finished her residency in 2012.

Additionally, Dr. Chacko holds an active membership with the American College of Physicians (ACP).

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Chacko enjoys playing sports, including tennis and volleyball.
