She received her Masters degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2009. Thereafter, Dr. Dabney worked as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Wilmington Ohio for more than 2 years and currently Toccoa Georgia for 5 years. Unfortunately the area was devastated by the decline of the economy, which led to Dr. Dabney’s pursuit of new opportunities. While interviewing in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee she was approached by a physician recruiter regarding Decatur, GA.
Dr. Dabney and her husband, Paul Dabney, visited and felt drawn to return to the area with their children Alexandria, 11 years old, and Analise, 6 years old. Both the warmth from the community and the proximity of family and friends made the decision to move here easy for them. Dr. Dabney maintains membership in Theta Omicron Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and plans community involvement with the local chapter here in Decatur and in her hometown Rome.
