David Jollay is president of Jollay Masonry Contractors, performing masonry work on large scale commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects across the Southeast. He was appointed to the DRHS Board in 2003. Mr. Jollay serves on the DeKalb Medical Center Board and the Decatur Health Resources Board. In addition, he serves on the Finance Committee and chairs the Executive Compensation Committee of the DRHS Board.
Robert Wilson joined the DRHS Board in 2005. He is a practicing attorney with the firm of Wilson, Morton & Downs in Decatur, Georgia, and has previously served as Chief Public Defender and also District Attorney for DeKalb County. Additionally, Mr. Wilson has served the State of Georgia in many capacities during his legal career. He chairs the Strategic Planning/IT Committee of the DRHS Board and is Chairman of the DMC Foundation.
Daniel Thompson is a retired corporate attorney, formerly Vice
President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the BellSouth
Advertising and Publishing Group in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a
member of the DRHS Board since 2003 and chairs its Human Resources
Dr. Charles (Chip) Clifton is a board certified anesthesiologist, who has been a member of the DMC medical staff since 1990. He was elected to the DRHS Board in December 2008.
A practicing physician at Atlanta Gynecology & Obstetrics since
1993, Bonk replaces Gulshan Harjee, M.D. Bonk is a certified fellow at
the American College of Obstetricians and is a Certified Physician
Executive. She currently serves as a board member for the DeKalb
Physician Hospital Organization and is treasurer of the Georgia OB/GYN
Society. Her DeKalb Medical leadership positions included Chief of
Obstetrics & Gynecology and member of the Medical Executive
Dr. Brown received a Ph.D. in nursing from Georgia State University
and is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. A Certified Nephrology
Nurse, she has 27 years of nursing expertise at the clinical and
leadership levels. A former Regional Vice President and board member of
the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association, Dr. Brown is currently a
health communication specialist with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. Dr. Brown is serving in her personal capacity.
Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes in Decatur, Scottdale and Lawrenceville, Georgia. He has served on the DRHS Board since 2001 and also chairs the DeKalb County Hospital Authority. Mr. Levett serves on the Finance Committee and chairs the Hillandale Advisory Board.
Bob joined Decatur Federal in 1969; in 1975, he was elected executive vice president and chief operating officer, and in 1983, was named president and chief executive officer. In 1994, Bob started Golden Point Group Inc., a company that invests in small businesses and is currently president and CEO. He has served on the DeKalb Medical Foundation Board of Trustees since 2008.
C. Scott Overcarsh is a senior management consultant for Chick-fil-A.
Scott has volunteered his time for DeKalb Medical as a member of the
Foundation's Board of Trustees and will apply his business expertise to
bring new ideas to both the Foundation and the Health System Board. He
chairs the Hospitality Committee.
Dr. Michael Quinones is a board certified general surgeon, who was
elected to the DRHS Board in July 2007. He joined the medical staff in
Donald Smith is a managing director of AmSouth Bank. He holds an MBA in finance and served as a director with Wachovia Bank for 17 years prior to his current role. Mr. Smith has served on the DRHS Board since 2003, is Chair of the Finance Committee, and currently serves as Chairman of the Audit/Compliance Committee.
