DeKalb Medical is a not-for-profit health system consisting of three hospital campuses Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Long-Term Acute Care and Emory Hillandale—as well as over 50 Physicians Group offices with 115 providers in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties. It’s medical staff includes more than 800 doctors in 55 specialties. In 2017, Atlanta Magazine named 83 DeKalb Medical physicians as "Top Doctors."
Founded in 1961, Emory Decatur Hospital is an integral member of the community, offering a variety of premier services, including joint replacement, surgical weight loss, mammography, cancer treatment, heartburn solutions, a Medical Fitness Association Certified wellness center, and more. The Maternity Center is the first in Georgia to receive the international “Baby-Friendly” hospital designation. We are also a certified Primary Stroke Center.
