People with chronic sleep disorders experience excessive daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, pauses in their breathing while sleeping, legs that move during sleep, or tiredness immediately after waking in the morning. Sleep disorder solutions can range from lifestyle and diet changes, to the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), or in severe cases, surgery. The key to successful treatment is to properly diagnose a chronic sleep disorder.
Finding your sleep disorder solution
A range of non-invasive sleep studies is available to identify your specific chronic sleep disorder and develop the proper sleep disorder solution. The studies are conducted at the DeKalb Medical Sleep Disorders Center and experienced, specially trained physicians interpret the results.
The newly renovated center is located on the North Decatur campus of DeKalb Medical at 2665 North Decatur Road, Suite 435, Decatur, GA. Office hours, for questions and appointments, are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sleep studies are scheduled throughout the day and evening to match your normal sleep period.
