Mike is an Exercise Physiologist and has been working with Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab (also known as the Heart Wellness Center) since 1991. He has a bachelor of business administration from the University of West Georgia and a masters of education in Adult Fitness/Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Georgia. Mike is a former president of the Georgia Cardiopulmonary Association and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. His philosophy of care is, “I am rewarded daily by the progress made by our patients.”
Emily Van Der Sluys, Exercise Physiologist
Emily graduated from Georgia State University in 2009 with a degree in Exercise Physiology, and has been working at DMC's Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Center since February 2010. She enjoys working closely with patients to help them reach their personal fitness goals. Her philosophy of care is to create an environment in which patients will feel welcome and encouraged as they progress towards a better quality of life. Emily is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified.
