Dr. Wiszer, DeKalb Medical Center’s wise blue owl, hosts a free, fun-filled educational assembly for elementary age children. The 30-minute event is fast paced and designed by health educators especially for kids. Complete with music, dance and a magic trick or two, Dr. Wiszer entertains children while teaching them about basic health and safety – helmets, car seats, handwashing and more. The messages Dr. Wiszer brings are targeted to children grades K-2 and are best presented in an assembly format. Dr. Wiszer provides his own sound equipment and props and brings complimentary coloring books and crayons for the children in attendance.The school will need to provide a microphone, electrical outlet and meeting space.
