Through the combination of a highly skilled staff and a variety of the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment, the Diagnostic Imaging Center at DeKalb Medical is capable of performing a range of diagnostic procedures such as PET, MRIs (including traditional and open MRI services), CT scans, X-rays, EKGs and ultrasounds. New technology now offered includes an ultrasound probe for diagnostic testing of prostate disease; magnetic resonance angiography for noninvasive testing of the blood vessels that supply blood to the brain; and an echodcardiography computer system that provides faster turnaround time for scans and ultimately patient diagnosis.
