| The DeKalb Medical Foundation offers members of the community several different ways to make a donation to support healthcare in our area. Each of the following giving opportunities provides public recognition of the gift, invitations to special events offered by the hospital and the Foundation, invitation to the hospital’s CEO quarterly roundtable and a recognition item for display.
Annual Giving Club
The Medallion Society Members of the Medallion Society are those special friends who contribute $100 or more annually to the DeKalb Medical Foundation. The Medallion Society is one of several fundraising activities organized by the Foundation’s Annual Support Committee.
What is required for membership? An annual contribution of $100 or more.
The Corporate Honor Roll
A commitment of $10,000 or more qualifies a business to be a member of our Corporate Honor Roll. Special recognition includes the company name listed on the donor recognition in the lobby of DeKalb Medical at North Decatur, listings in DeKalb Medical publications and on our website.
Planned Gifts
Many individuals provide for the long-term support of DeKalb Medical through a will bequest, trust, charitable gift annuity, life insurance policy, or retirement account. We are pleased to speak with you or your professional advisors to help you design a giving plan that will best benefit you and DeKalb Medical.
Signature Gifts
The Chairman’s Circle offers a unique opportunity for compassionate individuals to make a donation that will make a difference in the quality of life in DeKalb County. Through their support, Chairman’s Circle members make it possible for DeKalb Medical to acquire state of the art equipment, improve and expand hospital facilities and bring new health care services to the area. These gifts, which are $100,000 or more, are often associated with naming opportunities.
Special Gifts
Members of the Founders’ Circle actively support the mission of DeKalb Medical and the DeKalb Medical Foundation. They accept the challenge of helping to maintain and enhance local health care services by making a single gift, or multi-year pledge, of $10,000 or more.
Employer Matching Gifts
Many companies set aside funds for philanthropic use and allocate those funds through matching gift programs. An employer matching gift program allows you to make a personal contribution to the DeKalb Medical Foundation that is then matched by a corporate gift to the Foundation. The procedures for matching gift programs differ from company to company but gift forms are usually obtained through the human resources department. When you make your gift to the DeKalb Medical Foundation, enclose the form with your gift. If you are making an online donation, include information about your company’s program on the online form. The Foundation staff and your employer will handle the remainder of the process.
Other Types of Gifts
Gifts of Tribute
You can make a donation to commemorate a special occasion, celebrate a recovery, recognize your favorite doctor or nurse, or acknowledge a death. Gifts of Tribute enable you to honor both the individual and life itself.
Each Gift of Tribute helps DeKalb Medical remain at the forefront of medical technology and services, and makes research and education programs possible.
Upon receipt of your Gift of Tribute, a letter will promptly be sent to your designated recipient, and you will receive acknowledgement as well.
